Calibrating Temperature on Device

I have a 06044M Room Temperature and Humidity Sensor feeding data to my 09150M smartHUB.  When viewing the temperature on my smartphone app, I see the temperature is not what it should be.  When the device was set up in the app, there's an option to increase or decrease the temperature but the temperature on the dashboard does not change when I do so.  What should I do about the inaccurate temperature reading?  Thanks.

Hello Brad,

What is the temperature reading you are getting and what do you think you should be getting? The reading you should be getting where are you getting that reading from? The information on My AcuRite updates every 5 minutes. The information on the display of the sensor is going to update about 16 seconds.  It is possible you will get different readings based off the update intervals.

My quandary really isn't about getting the temperature accurate, it's about calibration and display.  I found when I calibrate the sensor's reading via myacurite, the displayed temperature on the dashboard does not change.  What is the meaning of the calibration control if it has no effect on the displayed and recorded temperature?

Hello Brad,

The calibration can take up to 20 minutes to take effect. Go ahead and calibrate the temperature give it at least 20 minutes and it should update on the dashboard. What is the calibration you are entering?

Thanks.  That information helped.  It's a real process with that delay.  I think I'll manage.
