Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Got a discount code via email to reduce cost from 129 to 39. At check out it never asked for the code so was charged entire price and surprise surprise after a solid week of trying to a hold of them via phone and email resulting in no contact. Now their support system is down. I would say as of right now all buyers beware something smells a bit off. I am going to post this fact in as many places possible so no one else gets burnt.

Read the absolutely horrible horrible feedback at their website before you purchase anything

On 3/21 I emailed them (Chaney Instruments Support <acurite@acurite.com) about getting a return authorization for the Access device, which I have not been able to make function. Three days later I received a reply:

"We are so sorry that we haven't had a chance to get to your inquiry yet! We're working as quickly as we can to respond, and we promise a real person will get back to you soon. We appreciate your patience and apologize again for the delay.  If you have any additional information to include in your request, please reply to the email you received when submitting your inquiry."

I have used their products for many trouble free years. Now it seems they have screwed the pooch with the Access. As others have noted, zero phone support "due to technical difficulties our agents are unable to respond..."

I notice some posts here are being commented on by their staff. If they have time to read and respond, why can they not provide me with a simple return authorization?

i agree. There customer support is far worse then even comcast/infinity and thought they were terible, i suggest everyone who wants to return for refund contact your credit card company and get a charge back as that really hurts them as they get charged a chargeback fee in addtion to losing the sale and being forced to refund entire cost including shipping.
