I bought a 02099 Weather Station for my Dad but he is finding that batteries must be replaced in the outdoor sensor at least weekly. The latest batteries that he used were Energizer Lithium batteries and they were dead in 6 days. Any suggestions?
Hello Chris, If you look in the sensor battery compartment do you see corrosion? If you do, try cleaning the corrosion out of the sensor using rubbing alcohol and a small swab. After, try the troubleshooting steps below. If the sensor continues to drain batteries, it will need to be replaced. When and where was this purchased? Thank you.
Hard reset: - Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter - Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C - Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first - Place batteries into display - Allow units to sit side by side until they connect.
