Barometer not updating

I have a 01036CADI 5-in-1 station.  I installed it in July of this year.  Until about a week ago, it worked passably well but with random and relatively frequent disconnects.  I think I've tracked the problem to poor location and distance between the sensor and the display unit.

In the past week the barometer has been stuck at 30.04 inches Hg.  I've reset the unit, removed and reinstalled the batteries, disconnected the USB cable, disconnected the external power and nothing helps.  After that, the atmospheric pressure has remained at the same value.

What can I do to correct this?

Hi Orville,

To correct the barometric pressure, please follow these steps:

If the unit has completed the learning mode and forecast or pressure is still inaccurate:

  • When the current local pressure is close to 29.92, restart the unit by removing the batteries, pressing the pinhole reset button in the battery compartment, and reinstalling the batteries.
  • Wait until Learning Mode has completed (33 days) to determine accuracy.
Glad to hear you have tracked down the issue you were having with connectivity between the sensor and display; for more information on sensor mounting, please review the info in this link:

Thanks!
