Backyard Weather concern

Hi,
This is my second 5 in 1 unit and again I am having a problem. My Backyard Weather dashboard shows a temperature of 81.6 degrees. Weather Underground shows my station at 64 degrees, which is in line with the surrounding weather stations. What is going on here? Is the fan not running in my 5 in 1? The chart shows the temperature going from 65 to 82 in one hour. That is not right. I don't understand what is going on and look forward to your ideas. Thanks, Craig

Hi Craig,

Do you notice these increases in temperature only when the sun is hitting the sensor? To verify that the internal aspirating fan is running, please go near the sensor when the sun is hitting the unit. You should hear a low hum as the fan spins. Please let us know if you hear this.

Hi Phung,

Are you viewing your data through your Weather Station or on AcuLink.com?

Have you noticed the outdoor temperature readings to appear high only during the daytime and then more accurate in the evening?

Hi Phung,

You may want to try temporarily relocate your 5 in 1 sensor in case it is catching additional heat from being located directly above your greenhouse.

Have you verified that the internal aspirating fan within your 5 in 1 is working properly?

I had a issue with one of my units that everything was reading everything right but the humidity NEVER changed. Support told me the only way to fix it was replace the unit all together.

Hi Cuse,

Have you had a chance to disassemble your 5 in 1 sensor? Sometimes it can help to clean it out if debris or bugs are found inside. You can find instructions in the link below.

Please let us know if this helps.
