Anemometer on new 5-in-1 (06014M) Isn't Smooth

I just got a replacement 5-in-1 (06014M) near the end of Nov and I noticed today that the anemometer is a bit stiff when it does move and slows to a stop quicker than before. When I rotate the cup by hand it feels smooth but can feel that it takes a slight bit of pressure than in the past. I see that it can be lubricated but I never had this problem on my previous 5-in-1 which I had for over 3 years. Does my less than 1 month old 5-in-1 already need to be lubricated?

Could be warping in the cold. I had to lubricate mine when it was new as well, but mine is over 2 yrs old now. I guess they still do not lubricate them before shipment.

Hello Troy,

If the wind cups hesitate or stop, try lubricating with graphite powder or spray lubricant. Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with.
