Adding sensors from old smart hub to AcuRite Access

I have 10 sensors with different names in multiple rooms. However when I tried to add the sensors to the new Acurite access, the new hub didn't show the sensors' name, so I don't know which  is which. Any recommendations?

Ryan I'm not sure if there is a better way but each sensor has its own ID number so power them down and back up 1 at a time and make note of each number.  Also you do know that he Access can only monitor 7 compatible sensors.

Thanks for the response. But the problem is when I try to add a sensor to access hub, it doesn't show any type of ID.

Do the replace method on your old hub, it will retain all the devices for you...at least 7 anyway.

Ryan go to the Access splash page   the 192.168.+++ this will show you an  ID number. then I think you can name them as you add them to your dashboard. I think you can do that without the ID as you add if you do 1 at a time.

Hello Stick,

If  you are referring to the internal page those numbers are not on your sensor.   Thank you.

if you are talking about the sensors ID number it is programed into the sensor when its made, I do not believe it is on the sensor.

Thanks everyone. I will play around with the system. It's a hassle to switch to the new hub

Hello Ryan,
If you use the replace function on My AcuRite the first 7 sensors will transfer over with their names automatically. If you did not want to replace the HUB, we would recommend removing the sensors batteries and installing batteries in each sensor one at a time adding the sensor as you go. You can also put each sensor in the freezer individually to see which sensor drops temperature then name them.  Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you.

I am having the same problem. I had 10 sensors on the old smartHUB, but now have to setup two new Access hubs as they only support 7 sensors reach.

So I used the "Replace" method for the first Access unit and that worked great from a "automatically connecting the first 7 sensors" point of view. What was disappointing, however, was the history was not maintained for those sensors. That is pretty dumb. All the data is there in the Acurite cloud. And since it was a "Replace" function, it SHOULD pull over all of the old data as well.

Even more disappointing was when I powered up the second Access unit and got it connected to MyAcurite. When I go to add the remaining sensors, Instead of just showing the three unconnected sensors, it shows all the sensors it "sees", and without any names. I tried switching the wireless ID select for those three sensors to a different "channel". I used B instead of the A that the other sensors were on. It didn't help, as I can't see any way within the Access hub to choose just one of the available wireless IDs.

Am I seriously going to have to power down all 10 sensors and then power up the three unconnected ones one at a time???

Hello Randle,

We apologize for the frustration. You will need to power down the sensors and then power them up one by one and add them to the device you want them to display on. Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.
