Acurite Access not transferring to WU

After following the instructions for the new Acurite Access, I am getting the solid blue light and data is transferring to the Myacurtie page, but the transfer to WU seems to be broken.  I deleted my SmartHub from the website and added the Access information.  When I attempt to share weather (using the Share to Weather Underground drop down), second drop down from the top  and add the Access information I get a 'Weather Underground Station ID already in use' error.  I see my station in the top drop down and the share data is checked.

Also, since it has been a while since I activated a new hub, the WU password is the station key not my WU login password, right?  I have tried both and so data seems to be transferring to WU.

Sounds like a password issue,  check or change your password in WU and enter it into My Acurite devices.  Good luck.

Passwords are good.  I did read the Acurite FAQ and I verified I needed to add the station key for the password.  I did that and now it let me add the new Access to share...now waiting for the 30 minutes to see if data uploads to WU. As a first adopter there will be some issues...

I have been down since 2130 EST last night...but I will figure it out.

Nope back to same issue. the MyAcurite site claims the Weather Underground Station ID is in use and will not let me add my WU weather station to the share drop down.

Unless WU is down, I can no longer see my Station on my WU account....

Hello Chevydean,

This is believed to be an issue on Weather Undergrounds end. It is something we are monitoring. At this time there is nothing further our AcuRite users can do. We will update you should something change. Thank you.

Me too, except I'm not getting the 'Weather Underground Station ID already in use' error. Everything looks right in my My Acurite settings, but WU still shows that I stopped reporting almost 24 hours ago when I first installed Acurite Access. I'll follow this conversation and maybe one of us will find and post a solution.

Have you removed your wunderground account information from your SmartHUB setup?  myAcurite does not let you put the same wunderground account information in two devices at the same time.

I overwrote the old device ID with the new one and refreshed my station key/password. That plus patience seems to be the key, as WU is seeing me now.

Hello David,
Are you using and email domain of @gmail.com for your Access My AcuRite account?  The email used for your community forum account does not show the Access. If this is your account we can see you are currently updating on Weather Underground from the Access.  Please let us know if you have any questions or if we are mistaken. Thank you.

WU is finding me now, so maybe I was just too impatient. I updated my device ID in my My Acurite settings, refreshed my Acurite password and WU station key for good measure, and 26 hours later all appears to be well.

This lasted for about a day. After that it stopped transmitting again, and I got a rough average of two transmission failures every 24 hours. I have solved the problem by dumping the Access and going back to my one-year-old Smart Hub, which has always worked perfectly. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I tried to reload my SmartHub and cannot get access to it, it claims this Smart Hub is owned by someone else, even though I do not think I used an alternate e-mail for myacurite access.  Maybe Jennifer or someone else at Acurite can help.  I would like to link my Access to my old WU Station ID.  I have both attached right now and the Access is performing flawlessly, no gaps, while my SmartHub is still showing gaps.

Hello James,

We show you are not currently transmitting on My AcuRite. This could be why you are not transmitting on Wunderground as well.  We show you are using your smartHUB. Did you get your AcuRite Access? Once you have downloaded any historical data you wanted to save from the smartHUB, you will go to settings>devices> and click on replace. The only thing you should have to enter is the device ID of the AcuRite Access. Once that is entered you will click save, and wait 10 minutes for it to start transmitting online. Once it starts transmitting online go to sharing and make sure it is showing your connection is correct and the sensor is correct. Check Weather Underground to see if you are transmitting online. Please reach out to us if there is anything we can assist you with.

My new Access has already had multiple 2+ hour outages where it doesn't upload to WU or the Acurite dashboard. Internet and power haven't failed any of those times and the batteries in the station produce a strong signal. When it starts working again, it fails to send any info from the missing hours. I have it in the same spot as the old device. Seems like a lemon to me and so far I regret getting it.

Hello Rob,

You have had the one reset and have not had one since? If I am understanding this correctly and that is the case please keep an eye on this and let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with. Thank you.

Unfortunately no. For 2/1/18 it shows .19" of rain on my dashboard. However, it shows .89 on my 2 in house devices. The same date for weather underground is just crazy looking. You can see it on this page. https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KHIPHOA3#history/tdata/s20180201/...

Hello Rob,
We are sorry you are experiencing this issue. We are looking into this issue however we need the details we have previously requested.  Can you please provide us with the following information:

What brand of battery you are using?

Who is your internet service provider?

Do you have the Access plugged in via the router, or are you using a port or switch?

What is the model number of the hardware that you are using (your router or switch)?

Duracell. Internet provider is called BAMF, which is a subcontractor of Time Warner, it's plugged into a router, an Apple Time Capsule. Again, there has been no power outage. The only difference is swapping out the old bridge which didn't have this problem for the new Access. Thanks!

I have found the perfect solution! I yanked my new Access and went back to my old reliable Smart Hub which has worked perfectly for the past year. No more outages! At this point, I don't even know why I fell for the upgrade offer, since it just added more un-needed stress to my life, and I don't see the advantage of it. Maybe I'll try to get my $40 back for it, or just display it on my desk as a reminder that "a fool and his money are soon parted." If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Hello David,
You can use both the HUB and the Access on the same account at the same time. Please plug in your Access and add it to your account so we can look at your account. Thank you.
