AcuRite 01036 wont stay connected since migration

Ever since the migration last year, my 01036 will not stay connected to the system.  I can go through very elaborate methods of getting the system to connect (out door unit to indoor Display Unit, Display Unit to computer, computer to internet, internet to weather underground.) and then an hour later the connection fails. I have spent hours with customer service, and hours with my internal IT department attempting to trouble shoot this.  Customer Service sent me a smart hub and then decided that since I am connected via ethernet I didn't need it, so I sent it back.  They had me send in my system, said it was fine and sent it back.

Keeping up with the on site weather is part of my job as an emergency manager. . . I need this to work.  I am ready to buy a different brand but I LOVED my system prior to the migration . . . .

Any ideas?

AcuRite is not going to like my reply but I had the same issue with the same model. I couldn't resolve it and I'm pretty technically savvy. My fix was to download VISReader from Valley Information Systems. I have been up and running, reporting to Weather Underground without issue for over a week now. I'd post the link but this is AcuRite's webpage. Google VISReader.

Hello CollegeOfTheMainalnd,

When you received it back were you able to get it connected. We can see that you had a static IP address before. This does need a dynamic IP in order to transmit.  What does it show on the PC Connect software under status?
