I know... there are all kinds of messages about this issue. But seriously, all I did was unplug the transformer from the wall and move it to a UPS. It has not worked sense.
I used a volt meter and confirmed the power adapter is working.
The Ethernet lights on the back never come one.
I've changed Ethernet cables. Used known good cables.
I've used different ports in the router, that work for other devices.

I'm at a loss here...

Try holding the activate button for 20 seconds.  Unplug power, wait a minute so unit powers down and then do the 20 second hold to see if lights come back on.

Agreed on Fred's suggestion.  There is an undocumented feature that can turn off the lights if that button gets pushed in.  Pushing it in again will cause the lights to come back on (assuming that the lights were turned off via the button.).  Also if you know or can find the address that your router assigned to the SmartHUB, you can type in the address in the url box of your browser.  You should get a splash screen that gives you info of the software release, boot version and sensors that the SmartHub sees.

Thanks for the replies...
I think something is being missed. The ETHERNET light are not on. One should be solid and the other should blink as network traffic passes. Like all of the other computers in my house do.

The power supply works but the unit is not powering on...
BUT... just incase I'm being stubborn, I'll try Fred's suggestion.
Thanks!

Hello Alan,

Please power cycle your smartHUB and router. To do this, you will unplug your Ethernet cable from the router then the adapter for the HUB. After this you can unplug your router. Please leave them unplugged for about 5 minutes. When you plug them back in plug the router in first and let it completely boot up, then you can plug the Ethernet cable into the router after that the adapter. Please let us know if you continue to have issues. Thank you!

I have done as suggested. Once my computer was able to access the internet , I then used the Ethernet cable from my PC, connected it and the power cable to the box and after waiting more than 10 minutes, I was distracted, the Ethernet light are not eliminated.
I'm not worried about the blue status lights... If the Ethernet light are not on, when the cable is plugged in, it tells me the device is dead... odd I know.

Hello Alan,

If the recommended troubleshooting has not corrected your issue we would suggest purchasing a new smartHUB. We have provided you with the link below. Thank you.
