Access working but can't replace my current 5-in-1 WU feed with it...can I?

I received my AcuRite Access component and installation was a breeze.  I now have it connected to my existing myAcuRite account and the account is working -- my 5-in-1 weather station (01536) and my temp/humidity devices are feeding it and I can see the readings on the charts.  I have Enable Online Sharing turned on for it.  My original device, the 5-in-1 LCD display (06056M), is feeding my WU (Weather Underground) account via the PC Connect application (yuck!).  I would like my Access device to now do this but the myAcuRite settings won't let me switch my "Select Connection" from my LCD to my Access.

My question:
Is it possible to change devices for the same WU account?  That is, edit the "Publish Weather Data to Weather Underground" so the "Select Connection" uses a different device while still keeping my "Weather Underground Station ID"? I have family, friends, and neighbors who view my WU data and would hate to have to create a new account (and URL) for the same location just for what should be a simple data feed change.

At the time of this writing the AcuRite Access has been up for 3 hours which I understand to be more than enough time for things to have sync'd up.

Yes.  You can switch devices yet still send data to the same wunderground station ID.

From your description I can't really tell what might be wrong, but generally you just shut down PC Connect (and never run it again).  Then you set up wunderground sharing on the Access.  Once complete, you may need to wait about 15 minutes for the wunderground settings to be pushed down to your Access.

Clarification:  I already have WU sharing on myAcuRite since August.

Is it necessary to delete (Remove button) my current sharing to WU in myAcuRite and then Add a new entry for Access (but keeping my WU id)?

That would probably be the way to go.

Your problem is that you cannot reliably have a PC Connect connection and a hub (SmartHUB or Access) tie to the same MyAcurite account.   I ran into this when I bought my SmartHUB.  Support informed me that I needed to remove the connection from my display screen to my Mac.  So for all intents once I disconnected the screen from the Mac, I went to MyAcurite account removed the screen from the device section.  I then added the SmartHUB and selected the 5-in-1 that the SmartHUB saw.  I then set up the SmartHUB sharing data to the same WU station ID.  It was pretty easy and the Access process is pretty much identical to how I handled the PC Connect to SmartHUB transition.  I

t's been over a year ago that I did this and I'm a little fuzzy on removing the PC-Connect side, but I think the screen was considered a device and it needed to be removed from the MyAcurite settings configuration.

Okay, thanks Jack.  As a software programmer/developer I find this very disappointing and illogical.  However, though it is annoying, it isn't a deal-breaker to do what you did or what I stated above and thus correct the data feed.

Quite honestly Toby, The folks developing the 5-in-1 package didn't really consider the hub entering into the picture.  I've got the same screen and 5-in-1 as you have.  I really didn't do my homework on the purchase and didn't quite understand the connectivity of this package when purchasing.  Once understanding that I would have to keep my Mac up 24 x 7 to keep the WU feed going, I went out and added the SmartHUB.  I also had reception issues with the SmartHUB since it had to run from the router so while I fixed the issue of not being able to shut down my Mac, I now had reception issues.  So I went out and got another router and ran it in bridge mode.  It's placed closer to the 5-in-1 and both my SmartHUB and Access are running off of that hub.

FYI, one other offshoot of disconnecting the display screen is that the data buffer within the screen will no longer be emptied.  So within 2 weeks of shutting down PC-Connect that information line that scrolls on your screen will occasionally give you a message that the data buffer is full and that you should connected your screen to your PC.  You can ignore that occasional message.

Thanks for the link Ledrak.  Here's what I did:
1.  Removed my [already setup] AcuRite Access device from myAcuRite (Settings >> Devices >> Remove) and waited about 10-ish minutes.
2.  Went to my 5-in-1 in the Connections pane (Settings >> Devices), clicked the Replace button, entered in the ID of my Access device, and then clicked the Save button.  Note:  If you get a red text warning just wait a few minutes as it can take time for the device to be "seen" by the myAcuRite application.  Don't panic.
3.  I then clicked on the Share Weather tab (Settings >> Share Weather).  In the section Sharing to Weather Underground my original info was gone, which was expected given the info in the link Ledrak provided.
4.  Make sure in the Enable Online Sharing section that you see your Access device in the Connections and that Allow Sharing is checked.  Mine already was thanks to the above Replace process.
5.  I clicked the Add button in the Sharing to Weather Underground pane, entered in my WU Station ID, password, selected my Access device connection (the one created earlier in the Devices tab in step 2), selected my sensor (my 5-in-1 weather station), and then clicked the Save button.  Note:  Make sure you enter in your WU password correctly because you won't get any error message if you enter it incorrectly!!!  You'll know something is wrong when you don't get any updates to WU.  For me the charts normally update every 5 minutes in WU.
6.  Give WU about 15 minutes to sync up and begin showing updates from your Access device -- it may be less if you're lucky.
7.  That's all :-)  Your online WU charts -- and more importantly, the web address (URL) -- won't be changed so the transition will appear seamless to those viewing your WU page.  Nice.

Note:  Once you have your device connected and sharing your myAcuRite Dashboard and Charts & Details will update as they do not require the Sharing to Weather Underground setup procedure as the data sent to WU is optional.  Think of it this way:  The data is sent to your myAcuRite and if you enable Sharing to Weather Underground then myAcuRite is simply sharing/passing-along the data to WU.

One small but important correction, Toby.

MyAcuRite does not send your data to WU. MyAcuRite passes your WU credentials to Access, then Access sends to WU directly. If you bring up the internal web page for Access, you will see your credentials stored there, once Sharing is activated.

Update:  Everything is working well.  5-in-1 transmission signal still gets weak in freezing weather (northern Oregon is getting snow) so charting/data-ingestion isn't consistent (I still have PC Connect saving data to the log file).  This poor behavior in cold weather, however, is consistent with when I didn't have the Access device.

I have the widget on my Android phone and it stopped displaying updates after I made my above transition to Access.  However, when I tapped it my AcuRite page would display all of the current information.  I removed the widget from my mobile phone's home screen and then re-added it.  This corrected the updating on-screen issue for the widget.  So everything is back to normal now.

I appreciate everyone's help, thanks!
