Access was a WASTE of money!

I’m disconnecting my new Access and tossing it into the trash. It was a waste of money. All my sensors turn red after a few days of use and I have to reset the Access every couple of days. This is madenned me so that I will NOT purchase another Acurite product in the future. I’m hoping if I reconnect the old bridge I can use the app once again on my iPads, but right now the apps on my mobile devices are also worthless because this Access device is HORRIBLE.

Robert,

Work with Tech Support on this. They will help you.
So far, my two Access devices have accumulated approx. 6 months total run time, in two locations, with two completely different network environments, and not a single glitch or hiccup.

I don’t like working with tech support from Acurite, and I have in the past. This forum always requires me to add my serial numbers to any items and I hate having to go hunt all those things down. I don’t mind buying products, but I hat it when products disappoint . I’ve been a supporter of Acurite for many years and have recommended them to friends. That ends with this horrible device that I’m sick of resetting every few days. Right now it says the temp on my rooftop sensor is 158 degrees on the iPad app. My 5 in 1 has been dead to the app for days and so has my two tower sensors.
I’ll be unplugging the Access this weekend when I get some time, and try to reinstate the old bridge. It worked well enough and only had to be reset once ever few months, at the most.
In the meanwhile, if anyone has any recommendations for other weather stations that are more reliable and have better mobile device support, I’m all ears.

I’ts ironic they chose the name ACCESS for this device. It’s like doublespeak in 1984! They really should rename it “NO ACCESS:”.

Don't throw it away! There has been an issue identified, and Acurite is in the process of removing the problems. There is nothing wrong on your end.
