JL,

I just checked IWALLACE2 and it is looking good!

You may see some WU server problems from time to time. Many of us have seen WU struggle a bit since the Spectre/Meltdown security problems came about. Hopefully things will get better for WU.

I jumped the gun and started all over no I can not connect any devices in my accurite I get a message “ Device must be connected and reporting data to claim it. Please make sure the device is connected to tour router and status lights are blinking.”

I can’t add my 5-1 sensor or my Acurite Access I do have a small green lite in my access blinking ever once and awhile

Got it figured out. Used the wrong email address. How often will access up load to WU it’s reading -2.5 on WU but it is really -4 and it’s reading correctly in My accurite. I noticed there is no “rapid fire” you can click on like. the pc connect page. Is there one?

JL,

I'm very glad you got it all worked out.

Regarding your question about WU update frequency , the chart in here may help.

What would cause it to stop reporting to WU

Jim, one last thing.
WU gets very unhappy if you are sending it data from both PC Connect and Access. It should be one or the other but not both.

I'm hoping you have a long and rewarding experience with Access.

I see you are offline at IWALLACE2 right now. I cant tell if that is because of WU's issues, or maybe if you accidentally broke something.

If you haven't changed anything since having success, my guess would be that poor WU is flailing. I have been having rotten dismal luck getting either of my two WU sites to work properly.

Yes, that looks good.

We may have a bumpy ride while WU works its problems. Fasten your seatbelt!

No I’m not running PC connect John. On pc connect there was a spot that could adjust your pressure reading but I don’t see if there is a spot on My Acurite to adjust the pressure reading

Hi Jim,

In MyAcuRite, go to settings/devices and select edit for Access. Down at the bottom, you will see a way to elect station pressure (actual measured pressure) or adjusted pressure (adjusted to sea level, to eliminate elevation considerations). You will also see a +/- adjustment there. The selections you make will only be reflected in what MyAcuRite presents.

Access sends only station pressure to WU, and WU should know your elevation. So WU calculates adjusted pressure on its own. Check to make sure WU knows your elevation correctly.

Now here comes an interesting wrinkle. Your +/- calibration does not get sent to WU. Instead, WU compares your pressure to nearby stations and figures up its own calibration fudge factor. It takes a few days or maybe a couple of weeks for that to fully kick in. While WU is "thinking", you may see some odd jaggies in your pressure data. Nothing to worry about, and nothing you have any control over anyway.

Hope you find this useful.

Jim,
I'm glad to help. I am still learning and know that there are some great folks on this forum from whom you can learn a lot. Ledrak, who also responded to your SOS is one of them.
