Access not connecting to Router (Nighthawk R6900)

I have recently purchased the AcuRite Access. I have followed the instructions and have been unsuccessful in having it connect to my Router (Nighthawk R6900). I have access control turned on, in the router and have added the Device ID as the MAC address however the router does not recognize the Access. I have rebooted both the router and the reset the Access several time but have had no success.

Update:  
Router and Access now are talking and connected to the network.  The time to connect significantly longer than the half hour suggested in the instructions as I left the unit on for 36 hours.  Batteries failed and all went blank.  Added new batteries and discovered that the Power plug was not working.  Remedied that and now have a steady light.
