592TXR Sensor Appears to Be Working, No Signal Sync With Weather Station

There appears to be a communication issue between my 01086 Weather Station unit and its 592TXR Tower Sensor that recently started happening on it's own. Upon replacing batteries in both, the sensor LED flashes every 16 seconds and the signal strength bars on display step through their succession of flashes appearing to try to synchronize. After 10-15 min of this the display bars just disappear and it sits there while the sensor continues to flash every 16 sec. The two devices are sitting next to each other.  I've tried everything according to instructions posted elsewhere here on proper startup procedures, new batteries (Duracell), switching between channels AB&C, performing resets, etc. The sensor "appears" to be broadcasting but can only assume that data is really being transmitted. The display panel "appears" to try to sync up for a while according to the signal strength display then it gives up or times out.

I'm at a loss what to look for next. Anybody in tech support or end user see this happen before, most sensor issues I've read about clearly indicate a problem such as LED never blinking, staying on all the time, etc. Appreciate any suggestions on how to determine which device is at fault!

Deke your system was working just fine and then it started to have problems, its possible that the contacts on the ABC switch in the sensor got dirty it is outside.  Try moving the switch back and forth several times to try and clean the contacts (a couple of drops of wd40 will help). Then remember what letter you left it on and then place the ABC switch in the display in the same position and restart the display. Good luck.
