5-in-1 Weather Sensor in bad condition to keep operating

The 5-in-1 Weather Sensor is less then a year old and lost its color to being weathered, makes clicking noises and seems like the plastic will crack soon. Is this normal to happen to quickly? A lot of money to have the sensor look and act the way it is in such a short time.

Where (geographic) is this sensor located that it has deteriorated way faster than the average?
Ticking could be a couple of things. 1) Wind cups or the magnet inside if it only happens when they spin.  2) Debris in the Aspiration fan  (cover the photo cells and see if it quits)
For either, split the clam shell by removing the perimeter screws (NOT the 2 screws on the center line)  and clean, examine the cup shaft

I placed the sensor at the back of my house attached to our deck. It doesn't seem it should have deteriorated this fast, that's why I was curious.

Hello Denise,
Thank you for providing the pictures and information requested. The sensor does go through normal wear in direct weather elements.  Is anything reading inaccurately from the sensor? Thank you.
