5 in 1 Station 02032C Display Issue and Temp Issue

Hello,

I have had a 5 in 1 weather station from Costco for close to a year now. In that year, I have been fighting the constant data logger full messages along with the high outdoor temp reading. I have not opened my 5 in 1 yet to find out if the fan is working, but wanted to find out what the solution might be if the fan is not working? Also, every time I get the data logger full message I do a full reset on the display and it ends up coming back. I had a support ticket open for this, but the only solution was to do a full reset. FYI, I'm using mode 4, which shouldn't save any data in the display.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

I was able to locate the case from when you spoke with us a few months ago and I'm sorry to hear that you are still having this same problem.  Normally we do have you do a factory reset on the display and set to a different mode, that usually will solve the problem.  I have started up a new case for you and emailed you at the address we have on file with further instructions.  In the mean time, please follow the steps below to check the fan.

Below is a video that will show you how to open the sensor (and clean it if needed) to see if the fan is working properly in the sun. Once the sensor is taken apart, please take the top half of the sensor outside and have the sun directly hitting the solar panels. From there please look underneath and verify if the fan is spinning freely on its own. If it isn't please let me know so that we can get this resolved for you.

Hello Crystal,

Unfortunately I didn't get to check it out yesterday. I was able to just now though. I got it apart and the fan is not moving freely. It was very nice and clean on the inside with just a little cobweb near the rain tippers. I have responded to the support ticket with a picture of the receipt. Let me know how to proceed further.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,

I did see your email come in, thank you for the information.  I did notice that you said you tested it with a light, did you try testing it in the sun at all?  We recommend testing it in sunlight, in most instances a regular flashlight or light bulb is not going to provide enough light to operate the fan.  Please reply to the email or here and let me know what your further findings are.  Thank you
