Adjusted humidity on the smarthub using the dashboard. Corrected humidity shows correct on dashboard, but uncorrected humidity continues to be reported on WU. Ideas? Using 5-in-1 weather station.

Calibrations work for dashboard only, not wunderground. The only calibration that you can make for wunderground is adjusting the barometer.

Great, so reporting bad data to the world is the only option?

If you think the humidity is off, you may try relocating the sensor to an area that is away from buildings, and trees, ponds etc. It is normal for humidity to peak at 100% at night, and fall off during the day.

I have a NIST traceable temp/humidity sensor mounted on the same pole directly below the 5-in-1. The Humidity is constantly off by 15%, day/night, winter/summer.

I have found mine to be off by 10% most times myself. So I installed one of the acurite remote thermo/hygro units in a solar rad shield at a better location. The humidity runs better with it, but can be slow to respond to fast changing conditions. I am hopeful the new Atlas line of stations coming out will be a lot better.

Thank You for the help and suggestions. I hope your right about Atlas. However if a company can make a measuring device that's error margin  +-15% with no provisions for calibration/correction and say good enough, it's time for me to find a new company.

Have you tried Kevin Keys acurite bridge reader? Using this software, you can make calibrations, and send to several more websites.

Hello Mike,

If you have calibrations entered into My AcuRite they will not transfer to Weather Underground. This is because the information goes from the smartHUB straight to Weather Underground, and doesn't go to My AcuRite to pick up the calibrations. This allows for the rapid fire update of 36 seconds. Our accuracy standard for humidity is +/-5%. If you feel you are getting an incorrect humidity reading, we would recommend comparing it to something of known accuracy. Bring the sensor and other product together side by side at the same height and location. Let them sit for at least 1 hour without touching them. After the hour compare the readings. You can also bring the sensor inside and compare it to the indoor display.  When comparing to other products the humidity reading should be within 5%. When comparing two AcuRite products together the humidity reading should be within 10%. Thank you.
