As of 27 May, 2018, the 11197-VN1HSPCB temperature/humidity sensor for the 5 in 1 Pro+ weather station is out of stock. Can you please advise when this part will be available again? Tnx

I have been waiting for months for it to come back in stock. Awhile back the page said it was expected May 24, then on May 24 the "expected date" disappeared. This appears to be a critical component and seems to have a short life and high failure rate. AcuRite needs to find a better supplier.

As each day passes I have less and less confidence in AcuRite. They are unresponsive in this forum (same "canned" no-help) and have a habit of missing commitment dates (as in the case of the new Atlas and Elite).

The SHT21 chip is easy to find on the internet.

All Acurite does is put it on a board that fits nicely in the 5n1 wind tunnel and add a 4-wire cable and connector.

If you have the ability, it's not hard to fabricate your own replacement module.

That's how folks were doing it before Acurite offered their module.

Here's a link to a site that sells the chip if you want to try it.

That's the wrong chip.

The 5n1 uses the SHT21, a generation beyond the SHT11.

Thanks, it was on a old bookmark and I thought it looked a bit different but just went with it. My older 5 in 1 used a very different looking chip when I tore it apart to swap the newer wind cups off of it to my newer one I just swapped the newer chip into.
