Rachell- I have plenty of Access connection issues as well and also cannot get ahold of anyone on the phone. I posted on this forum over 3 weeks ago and didn’t receive any reply back from anyone at Acurite. At this point, I am extremely dissatisfied with the “customer service” that Acurite is providing. Please see my previous post and help me out.

For my situation with the new connection device I set it up without the batteries installed. Works great now .after a few weeks I then reinstalled the batteries while the device was functioning. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hello Kelly,
We have emailed you at the email address associated with your community forum account. Please check your inbox.

Hello Ken,
Are you saying that adding batteries caused issues with your Access? What brand are you using? Please verify you are using the battery recommendations below. Thank you.

Batteries:

•Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4°F/-20°C) in sensor.

•Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

•Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

•Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

•Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

•Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

I have not tried to call back because at the moment my device seems to be working OK.
What I was implying about my batteries was that in order to get a Wifi connection I had did it with no batteries installed. After a few days I reinstalled my Duracell batteries.
For what ever reason with the batteries installed my Wifi would fail to connect.

PS. Are the phone lines still a horror show?
