3 in 1 sensor very noisy

My 3 in 1 sensor works fine but it has started making a grinding noise while spinning. I have lubed with a dry silicone spray and that has helped but it does not last. I am near the coast and get salt spray. Any ideas?

Mine too! I'm across the street from the ocean also. The noise is vey annoying. I've had mine for over a year and it just recently started making that noise.

If the bearings are already pitted there is not much you can do. Try a light  turbine oil , dry silicone not very lubricating.

Hello Rich & Patricia,

Ledrak is correct. It could possibly be corrosion on the bearings inside. The sea spray tends to be rough on these sensors. Thank you.

I'm having the same experience.  I live a few blocks up from the bay and my sensor is making a grinding noise while spinning.  Hey AcuRite, how about making a coastal version with a sealed or non-corrosive bearing assembly?
