09150M SmartHub Connection problems

I purchased a new 09150M SmartHub. It gives me the following:
  • Device must be connected and reporting data to claim it. Please make sure the device is connected to your router and the status lights are blinking.

It is plugged directly into the router.
I have tried the power down and reboot procedure.
I have a sensor powered on and sitting next to it.
All lights are illuminated solid.
Lights on the data port are solid illuminated but both amber and green will blink once every 30 seconds.

I called the help line 3 times yesterday and all three times I was told I needed to be transferred to tier 2 support but instead of being transferred I was hung up on all three times.

Please help.

Hello Tyler,

We apologize that you were hung up on.  The lights should function as follows: The left blue light is a network status light. It should flash for 1 second each time a reading is sent otherwise it will be steady. The right light should be solid steady. There should be an amber light in the back that is flashing where the Ethernet is plugged in. The green light should be solid. Please power down the smartHUB and router for 2 minutes. Unplug the Ethernet cord from the back of the router. After the 2 minutes power up the router. Wait for it to come back online. Once online go ahead, and plug in the Ethernet cord, and power up the smartHUB. Attempt to add the device on My AcuRite. If this doesn't correct the issue please reply with what the blue lights are doing, and what the amber and green light are doing on the back of the smartHUB. Thank you.

I have the exact same issuer is Tyler.  I cannot add smart hub as device in My Acurite.  I get the exact same message.  I have reset as you suggest above.  Still nothing.  I have checked my router settings and the hub is showing as online.  The green light is solid, yellow light blinks.  Network status only blinks when reading sensor (approx. every 15 seconds).  The right blue light is solid steady.

Suggestions?

Log into the smarthub using your browser. You routers (Admin function) will let you know the assigned IP for the MAC (on the card that came with your smarthub).
Does it show any detected devices (with a Signal of 1 to 4)?
It must have at least 1 device active to register

Yes.  It shows 2 sensors with 4 signal strength.

Hello Amber,

We do not show an account registered on My AcuRite. We searched using the email address registered with the community forum, and we were not able to locate an account. We also searched using your name. Is the account registered under a different name or email address? The lights should function as follows: The left blue light is a network status light. It should flash for 1 second each time a reading is sent otherwise it will be steady. The right light should be solid steady. There should be an amber light in the back that is flashing where the Ethernet is plugged in. The green light should be solid. Please power down the smartHUB and router for 2 minutes. Unplug the Ethernet cord from the back of the router. After the 2 minutes power up the router. Wait for it to come back online. Once online go ahead, and plug in the Ethernet cord, and power up the smartHUB. Give it a couple of minutes and try to add the device on My AcuRite.

Please attach a copy of your internal page to this thread greying out the device ID if that does not correct the issue. Thank you.
