06058M signal reception

I purchased a 0614M Pro Plus along with the 01950M Smart Hub along with two 06058M displays along with the 06045M Lightning Detector. The Smart Hub is approximately 68 feet from the Pro Plus. The smart hub Network Status Light does not flash for one second when a reading is sent and the Network Status light does not display a solid steady light.  It has connected to the internet as the data is displayed on the Acurite App as well as the Weather Underground. One display is 8 feet from the Smart Hub on the first floor and the other display is on the second floor 18 feet above the smart hub. The unit on the second floor has poor to no reception. To improve reception I added the 06053 Wireless signal repeater. The signal on the unit on the second floor did not improve. What can be done to improve the second floor units signal reception? Please provide a fix for this problem.

Hello Bob,

The display and smartHUB do not communicate.  What you need to look at is the area between the sensor and the display on the second floor.  What does the signal have to go through?  I have added a chart below that will show you how different materials can decrease your signal strength.  Where is the display placed? Are there any major electronics around the display? We recommend placing the display at least 3ft from any electronics.  When you place the display in other locations does the signal strength improve?  Thank you.

Impact of Building Materials on Wireless Signal Strength

Glass Decrease up to 15%

Plastic Decrease up to 15%

Brick Decrease up to 40%

Wood Decrease up to 40%

Concrete Decrease up to 80%

Metal Decrease up to 100%

Moved problem display to several locations and still have low or no reception.

If I activate the Wireless Signal Repeater do I first need to power down both displays and activate the wireless signal repeater then power up both displays? Does the Smart Hub also see the Signal Repeater? Should I power down the Smart Hub as well as the Displays together and then activate the Signal Repeater followed by powering up the Smart Hub and Displays so they are seeing the Signal Repeater rather than the Pro Plus Sensor?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Bob,

The signal repeater will work with the smartHUB ONLY if the sensor(s) are movedcompletely out of range from the smartHUB.  The sensors cannot have anytype of signal coming through from any sensor.  Once they are moved out ofrange.  The extender can be put into place and the smartHUB will thenconnect up with it and the sensor readings.

If you are wanting to use it for the display and sensor please follow the steps below:

Connecting one sensor

1. Relocate the sensor near the repeater and take note of the A-B-C channel.  All compatible sensors have an A-B-C channel, except monitors (models

00275 and 00276) which use channel ID "P" on the repeater.

2. Turn ON the corresponding channel ID switch for this sensor in the battery compartment of the repeater.

3. Wait for the channel's LED indicator to flash, confirming that the sensor is connected and is transmitting the sensor's signal.

Thanks for the update.  Could you provide the exact 400Mhz frequencies for each of the A - B & C channels of Pro Plus unit.

The frequency is 433.92MHz.

The A/B/C channel setting does not change the frequency.  It only changes some identifier bits in the data packet.
