06002 temperature and humidity sensor with Acurite Access reading -40F

I just got a 06002 Temperature and Humidity Sensor. I also just upgraded to the access a week or so ago. I currently have a 5 in 1, and two indoor temperature and humidity sensors that all work fine.

I am seeing the same issues as in https://support.acurite.com/acurite/topics/06002m-temperature-and-humidity-sensor

I have followed those suggestions. I was using new Amazon Basics batteries, but changed to new Duracell batteries. I have brought in inside a couple if times and as it warms up, it starts to read the temperature correctly. Once I take it back outside and it cools off a bit, it goes back to reading -40F.

I don't know if it is related to the Access, to the sensor, or to something else.

Hello Mark,
I was able to locate your My AcuRite account. I do not see a sensor reading -40. Was this issue resolved?  Thank you.

That is because you are looking during the day where the temperature is getting above ~62F. If you look at the thermometer labeled "Hoop House" and look at the history, you can see where it drops to -40F when the actual temperature drops to about 62F or so.

Hello Mark,
