love the weather station. pretty accurate. however when the back light is on max (auto mode brightness) the temperature is 2-3 degrees warmer. When I lower the brightness to the lowest setting the temperature is perfect. Can the display create more heat to raise the temperature? Did i get a bad sensor or unit?

Hello dany,

Please factory reset your display. If this does not correct the issue, please let us know. When and where was this weather station purchased? Thank you.

To do a pinhole reset: (THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac or Energizer) standard alkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything that is heavy duty, rechargeable, store brand or Lithium inside of the display.

- Remove all power, AC adapter and batteries from the display unit.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button, located in the battery compartment, for 20 seconds.
- Plug back into AC power and insert recommended batteries.
- Press and hold down the pin hole reset button for an additional 20 seconds.
- Verify that the unit has powered on and once connection has been made, attempt to set time and date.

Hello. I bought if from Costco in Laval, Quebec during the fall/winter 2017 time I would say. I will look for the bill and tell you the exact date.

I have tried the reset procedures twice and the same thing is happening. I attached 2 pics below one at 6:05pm at (auto setting) max brightness the second 30 minutes later at the lowest brightness. There is a 2 degress celsius difference. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks
