2 months ago I bought the weather station, number 02027A1. The problem is that both equipment, both indoor and outdoor devices, are not connected. The outdoor sensor does not have the channel selector A B C as the manual indicates. I tried changing everything and I still can not connect them. I do not know what to do. I bought this equipment in the USA on my last trip and now I am living abroad.

Hello Javier,

The sensor for this unit needs to have the ABC switch to connect.  Any sensor that does not have the ABC switch is not compatible with model 02027.  The ABC switch should be located inside the battery compartment in the sensor. You will need to remove the batteries to see the switch.  If you do see a switch, please follow the step below. If you do not see a switch can you tell us where this station was purchased?  Thank you.

Batteries:

•Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4oF/-20oC) in sensor.

•Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland.

•Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage.

•Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts.

•Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries.

•Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended.

Hard reset:

- Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter

- Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C

- Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first

- Place batteries into display

- Allow units to sit side by side until they connect.

I received it in the original packaging. The sensor does NOT have the ABC switch. What should I do?

Hello Javier,

It sounds like you received the wrong sensor with your weather station. We do not warranty products purchased through EBay. At this time we would recommend contacting your seller regarding getting the correct sensor.
