OK, I checked the manual for your unit and could find no reference to a beep.  It could be an alert that the sensor batteries are low or, if your display is not plugged in, its batteries might be low.

Well I checked Manuel also. The beep occurs every minute. Has new batteries. No reference s to sending or receiving signal causing beep.

You have to open up the unit, and cut the speaker wires, as per instructions.

Hi Rita,

Below are instructions on how to cut the speaker wires on your display unit so that it will no longer beep for you.  If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Step-by-Step**Before attempting these steps please note that this will void the one year warranty.**

1. Remove the (6) six screws located on the back of the unit.

2. Cut the RED & BLACK wires that are connected to the speaker. (Copper colored circle)

Crystal, this is kinda weird.  What is causing Rita's unit to beep and why should she have to cut the wires (and void the warranty) to stop it?

Hi Rita,

I apologize for the confusion.  From our side of things the 00754 was linked with this forum thread and when I read the notes regarding the beeping, it made sense so I posted directions for the 00754.  Rita, I would like to get in touch with you to make sure that your display is still working properly.  Please check your inbox so that we can schedule a time for a phone call.

Hi Hunter,

What is the model number of the units that you have.  To ensure that your weather stations are in fact beeping.  Please remove all power (ac adapter and/or batteries) for 1 hour.  If the beeping doesn't stop then you will know that something other than your weather stations are beeping.  Have a great day!

Hi Hunter,

If your thermometer 00754 is still beeping, the steps below will resolve this.  Please note that the steps below are for the 00754 only and that doing this will void your 1 year warranty if it is still in affect.  If you have any additional questions, please contact AcuRite customer support at 877-221-1252.  Have a great day!

I'm just curious about what is causing the beeping in the first place.  Can't this be fixed through the software or is this a latent defect in the product?  I have the same beeping problem with my 00754, it is about 2 years old, brand new batteries today.  If I want to use this unit as an alarm - it has that feature - wouldn't cutting the speaker wires disable the alarm too?  Sidney

Yes. Cutting the speaker disables the alarm. My theory on the beeping, is that there is a radio-active isotope component that has spent it's half life, and causes a malfunction in the unit. The only way to fix it is to buy a new unit. I cut my speaker alarm, because my iPhone serves as my alarm.

HI Sidney and Paul,

The station can beep for a couple of different reasons. It could beep because the batteries are low, or it could be losing connection to the sensor.  If the beeping continues it may be that the unit is beginning to malfunction. If all else is working and you do not use the alarm features you can cut the wires to stop the beeping If you need further assistance please contact AcuRite Customer Support at 877-221-1252. Thank you. Have a good day!

Thank you for your comment.  I'll probably just clip the wire.  I'll perform a "beep-ectomy".  :-)
