01538HD learning mode

I have had my 01538HD weather station running for over 14 days now and the learning mode words are still showing on the display. As so many models indicate this differently, I am confused if mine is still learning mode or not. The reason i ask is because the barometric pressure has always displyed about .30 inhg low for the last 2 weeks. Before i reset the display and wait anothet 2 weeks, I thought i would ask. Otherwise all other measurements seem fairly accurate.

"Learning Mode" only impacts the barometric reading on the display.

I'm not sure why your learning mode icon hasn't turned off yet, but it actually keeps on "learning" for 30 days or so, "fine tuning" the displayed pressure.

By two weeks the pressure reading should be settling down to something reasonable.  If it's still 0.30 inHg low I'd consider a reset.

The numerical reading isn't very important, though.  It's the trends that really matter.  If it is not moving up and down in concert with other local stations, something is definitely wrong with the sensor.

Today the learning mode message disappeared. The barometric pressure displayed is still about .09 inhg low compared to the airport about 3 miles from my house.

If I remember correctly, 0.09 inHg is within stated tolerance (+/- 0.15 inHg) of the learning algorithm.  Since it will keep adjusting for another 2 weeks, it should get even better, so I wouldn't bother with a reset.

My displays get within few hundredths of the local airport reading.
