01533 Dimmer and Raining?

No dimmer button for screen and always says its raining.  Manual says I should be able to dim the screen with button on top, but no button.  Also says its always raining, or its cloudy when its sunny.  Love the weather station, just would like to fix the rain issue and be able to dim it.

Hello R,

The button on the top is a touch sensitive button indicated by a small lightbulb icon.  This unit goes through a 14-33 day learning mode to provide an accurate forecasting. How long have you had the unit set up?  Thank you.

Hi, thanks. I installed this at Christmas. I did a reset mid January. The sense touch does nothing (light or hard touch). The rain display happens often but not always. It also shows it sunny at night or cloudy on a clear day. Juat not very consistent. Willing to try whatever. Thanks

This is a pic of the screen.  It's 9pm in Texas, very dark out, no moon and its not raining.  A few hours ago it was sunny, but it showed only a cloud with rain.  Hope this helps.  Thanks

Hello R,

Please factory reset the display. To do so, press and hold the reset button located inside the battery compartment of the display for 10-12 seconds. If this does not correct the light issue, let us know. This unit has a 12-24 hour forecasting meaning it predicts the forecast within the next 12-24 hours.  This doesn't show the current forecasting. Resetting the display will cause it to restart the learning mode.  Please let the unit go through the full 14-33 day forecasting again.  Thank you.

Thank you. I will give it another try. I was not aware of the forecast, however, it does predict rain a lot. Understand forecasts are no always accurate though, so not an issie. I'll work this and get back to you. Thanks for your time.

Hello again. I reset the receiver/display and the dimmer still doesnt work. I pulled power too to give that a try. I could live with it but is very bright at night. The rest of the issues are fine, the rain/forecast I can live with (weathermen are never right anyway :) ). Is there anything i can do to check the sensor for dimming? Thanks
