01057RM Pro 5in 1 weather station temperature readings are 10-12 degrees higher than nearby PWSes

Hello, I purchased an installed the 01057RM Pro 5 in 1 Weather Station in Sept 2015. It is mounted on a post in my back yard at 7 feet above the ground with no obstructions around it. The unit has worked well until about a month ago when I noticed the temperature readings were in the mid 90's when the actual temp was not even 80. Other local PWS verified this. I seperated the unit as shown in your You Tube Video, and found no obstructions or bugs that would cause the fan to stop spinning . I held the unit in the bright sunlight and the fan did not start, I had to nudge it, but then it would start on it's own again, so I put it back up. It is still reading very high temps in the afternoon, and I can't hear the motor running. I am hoping to mount this unit up on a 30 foot high pole in the future, but if it needs attention, I am going to wait! Your Input would be much appreciated,
Thank You
Paul Difflipp

It seems that the units purchased around Sept 2015 all have this issue, at least from what I've read on here so far.  How do I go about getting a replacement?  Readings 10-15 degrees higher than nearby units is really unacceptable.  First the display gives the date in the format, now the temperature readings are way off...  I've also noticed that the temperatures displayed on my color display are often times different than what is being reported to WU.. and both are wrong during the day time.

Hello Frnchdp,

Have you opened the sensor to verify the fan is running when sun hits the solar panels?

fan is running.  I am currently reporting 88deg with all surrounding PWS reporting no higher than 79 w/ 1 at 81.

Hi FrnchDp,

Is it possible for you to post a photo of how the sensor is mounted?  This will allow us to see if there is anything nearby that could be causing the sensor to read a higher temperature.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing nearby.

FYI - I placed the sensor back on the post for this picture. It's not secure or straight, but was when it was being used.
