01036 rain guage accuracy test?

Is there some method to test/verify the accuracy of the rain gauge?  Something like:

Put xx cups of water into a measuring cup
Slowly pour water into the rain guage intake
The display should then read y.zz inches of rain

Yep, there's a calibration procedure on the link below.  Basically put water in a cup with a hole and let it drip.  Then compare the results.  But it's spelled out in detail

I’m pretty sure the procedure is in the directions for your weather station

yes, but as the person posted in the thread Gregory so kindly put up, the "official" directions were driving me nutz.

Thank you for your  concern Jennifer.  I really just wanted to check it but no I haven't been able to as of yet. Currently on a cruise ship headed to St. Maarten. :D
