Everything was fine until the firmware upgrade.  Now my 00617 Pool Hawk will not connect to the bridge so I can monitor my swim team's pool temperature from anywhere.

Hello Shawn,

That sensor is not compatible with the My AcuRite system. This is why you will not see it on My AcuRite. It was not compatible with Acu-Link either but we have had some customers with success in getting it to display on the old system. Thank you. Have a good day!

Why is 00617 pool temp sensor NOT compatible with the smart hub? It uses the same 433KHz radio and A/B/C selector switch? Are there any plans to update the smart hub firmware to make it compatible?  This is quite absurd. Thanks

That answer is NOT acceptable. Especially if 00617 used to work with the smart hub.  Please update the software.

Hello DSM,

As stated above the 00617 was not compatible with the Acu-Link system but we did have some customers who did have success in getting it to register. We have noted your feedback, and interest in getting this compatible with My AcuRite. It is something we will consider for future product development.

Perfect, since that was the only reason I purchased the system.  Great upgrade......

Hello Shawn,

We apologize for any inconvenience. The sensor was not compatible with the Acu-Link system either, but some people were able to get it to display on their account.    Thank you. Have a great day!

Obviously it was compatible since everyone that had both items had it connected. To just act like it is not a big deal since you guys think (I guess) that it was not compatible just sucks on AcuRite's part.  Your customers out here spent MONEY on these items.  You should care a little more.  Your apology for my inconvenience is not helping.

I am an engineer and the firmware/software update in my opinion is purposely blocking the unique ID of the pool floaty and ignoring it.  Very easy for Accurite to fix it.

Please enable this functionality in the new software. It can't be that hard to write the code.

Exactly, I am a technical savvy person and hardware wise it wouldn't be very difficult to make the 00617 pool temp sensor compatible with the smart hub. Accurite needs to update the firmware to add this to the supported accessories!!

I realize it's been 5 months since the original post/request but a reminder to Acurite....we're still waiting.

Count me as one of those whose Poolhawk was monitored in the 'old' dashboard (it appeared just like any other Acurite sensor, no special skills necessary) but vanished with the upgrade.  It worked then, it should still work now.  Please Jennifer, have someone look into this!
Thanks

Why in the world will ACCURITE NOT update the firmware on the smarthub to make 00617 a supported accessory?  Sorry doesn't cut it!

Let's put the pressure on Accurite to update the firmware. When the smart hub sees the unique ID of the pool sensor it is programmed to ignore it. A very simple update and will keep your customers happy.  Don't be evil.

Hi DSM,

We appreciate your comment and have passed the request for compatibility on to our marketing and product teams. Unfortunately the pool sensor is one of the products that is not currently compatible with the smartHUB. While we are not prepared to distribute a firmware update at this time, as we add new features to My AcuRite and capabilities to any hardware, we will notify customers through email and this community forum.
