00325W small digital thermometer very inaccurate

I bought both a 00325W along with the big wireless indoor/outdoor thermometer and humidity sensor. The bigger, more expensive indoor/outdoor one works perfectly. The small 00325W w/ a brand new rayovac battery shows 77 degrees right now when it should be 71. Humidity is also 6% off what the big one says. I verified with some standard mercury thermometers, and my home thermostat and your other device that the temp is 71 degrees, not 77. I can't verify the humidity, unfortunately. I moved the 00325W out of sunlight for long time and away from heat sources, and in the same places the other thermometers were. It got it to the 77 degrees I mentioned, but didn't get any better than that. I called into your support and was 16 in line on the call and way too busy for that kind of wait so just taking it back to the store before its returns desk closes for the day. However, I wanted to let you all know the problem. I'll include a note with it for your returns service. QC was QC4316 if that helps you track down the cause (assuming it wasn't damaged in shipping)

Hello Brian,

The accuracy rating is +/-2° and 5% per unit. This means if you have two units sitting side by side you can see up to a 4° and 10% difference. If your units are reading outside of the accuracy range, please remove the battery in the unit for about two minutes then reinstall the battery.  If the unit is still reading outside of the accuracy range, please let us know. Thank you and have a great day!
