"This data seems incorrect" on Weather Underground

Over the past few days, I keep getting this message on my reporting to Weather Underground - "This data seems incorrect."  Is this a reason why I continue to get this message?  It appears that my stations' readings are in line with other stations.

There's no way for us to even take a guess without seeing the data for yours and surrounding stations.

This happens to me too, and I suspect is related to the gaps in weatherunderground which showed up with the "SmartHub" firmware update.
The support thread for this
https://support.acurite.com/acurite/topics/-gaps-in-data-uploaded-to-weather-underground
has gone away, any idea why AcuRite deleted this?!

Gaps are still happening; my lovely gold star just won't stay around in this scenario.

We've just had a colossal amount of rain, which has been an opportunity to observe that My Acurite, Wunderground and my AcuRite hardware display all show different readings.  The AcuRite panel is reading 5x the MyAcurite site...
AcuRite has really busted something with the smartHub, which is tempting me to go back to weewx, but i'm hanging in there at the moment.

Hello Rick,

What type of internet service do you have?  What is the model number of your smartHUB?  The link below will bring you to the same information the above link would have given you.  Thank you and have a great day!

Received new 09150M [boot 210], which has much nicer embedded web report, including info on wunderground and derived Elevation.
Thanks for that!

Unfortunately my weather station went south [eating batteries every week] and is currently in service transit.
Double unfortunately the smartHUB won't connect to hubapi at all without a sensor signal, won't even check for firmware update.  That seems silly.

But, I can still report a bug, similar to what I saw with my [bad?] 09150TRX,
but rather unfriendly from a networking perspective [as opposed to self-soft-bricking]:
 224 with Boot 210on 09150M

To reproduce: remove batteries from all weather stations.
Once unit has "led 1 solid, led 2 blinking rapidly"
Disconnect/reconnect power.
Note that unit immediately goes to "led 1 solid, led 2 blinking rapidly" state.
unit goes into DHCP loop - pulls address successfully, but then just does it again
and again and again and again
basically hammering the DHCP server forever

Reset procedure is different from 09150TRX; hold activation switch while applying power, and all is forgiven.  [until the next cycle of blinky light/power cycle]

No further definitive info until i have my station back.  But it would appear there are some things amiss in the low-level behavior of these devices, though 09150M is trending better.
Cheers

Hello Rick,

Can you please clarify what you think the bug is so we can take a look at it? Thank you.

With firmware 224, create a situation where a bridge sees no weather stations of any kind [wrap in grounded mesh, turn off all nearby stations, whatevers].  Wait until the left LED blinks indicating "loss of signal".
Power cycle.

Immediately upon powerup the left LED is blinking

For 09150TRX, device will appear dead - no internet connection is made, no DHCP address is pulled, etc.  This is particularly bad as one is unable to use the internal web server to assess the signal situation.  This state persists until the "assign" button is pressed for thirty seconds [not sure what the actual time required is]

For 09150M, device constantly pulls DHCP addressess, over and over, in a loop.
This state persists until the "assign" button is pressed while applying power.
Better than TRX behavior, where the device appears dead, but very unfriendly from an IT perspective.

---------------
Secondarily, the behavior described in support posts here as "expected behavior" that a bridge [either 09150TRX or 09150M] will never connect to the internet until it sees a signal from a weather-station seems like a bug.
I understand that there's no point in posting non-existent weather updates, but it means that a new device won't check for firmware and can't be "Adopted" by myacurite until a weather station is found.

If this behavior is intended, it should be documented - the "QSTART16_09150M_8.5x14" document both online and shipped with the unit does NOT mention this.  It tells us to connect the device to the internet, power up, wait for firmware update, and "Adopt" to myacurite.  It does not say this is impossible if the device never sees a station.
Reading between the lines, if the left light is blinking, adoption is impossible.
If that's the observed and intended behavior, document it.
If the documentation is supposed to be correct, then the device has a bug.

Hello Rick,

We appreciate your feedback. If you try to register your device on My AcuRite it does tell you to make sure that the device is connected and reporting data to claim it. If there is no sensor activity the right light will flash as stated in the instructions. The left light would be solid at this time. Thank you.

This is interesting because I'm seeing the opposite. Up until recently, I would get the "... data seems incorrect" message when checking WU on my iPhone. Starting this week, I no longer get that message. My WU station ID is KCOLOUIS43.

Hello All,

You may see gaps on Weather Underground because of the outage from the 11th to the 12th we experienced. Things should now be stabilized. Please let us know if you continue to see gaps starting 1-16-17. Thank you.

Hello Monte,

We had some problems logging into our personal accounts for Weather Underground as well. It seems to be working for me today.

Okay, why am I getting this error again this morning as I am posting this? I can't see anything wrong with data on Wunderground.  Everything seems correct with stations around me.
Any ideas Jennifer?

Hello Monte,

We would recommend contacting Weather Underground regarding that error. We don't know their guidelines for showing that error. Thank you.

Hi Jennifer,

I did contact Wunderground regarding this issue right before I submitted the comment to you 3 weeks ago.  Kari from Wunderground initially stated to me that it's part of their QC process that might kick off the message to the PWS users as some data doesn't match surrounding stations or it's bogus data. I again asked more questions about what exact part of "my data" is triggering this message within their system.  She just responded this morning to me that Wunderground has acknowledged there is some problem and is working with Acurite on this issue.  Could you please elaborate on what exactly this means?  It takes Wunderground too long to respond with comments back so I thought I would try here. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks!

EDIT:
May be related to "Gaps in data uploaded to Weather Underground" thread which I have also answered.

Hello Monte,

It could be related to the Gaps in Weather Underground which is what Kari was probably referring to. We have been in contact with them regarding this problem. I posted this on a couple of other threads. By watching account behaviors through the weekend we have found that there appears to be a communication issue between My AcuRite and WU, we are working to determine where the exactly the issue lies and how we can quickly implement a fix.  The message coming back from WU is causing some user's hubs to reset which is why you are seeing different behavior from some of your hubs.

Hello All,

The last update we provided is on March 7th. The link is below. At this time we have no further information to provide. We will continue to work with Weather Underground on getting this resolved.
