Unwanted beeping after installing batteries
I have a Acurite model 0754. When I install new batteries following the directions all is OK except it now beeps about every 1-3 minutes. How can I stop that?

This unit is a wireless thermometer that checks inside and outside temps.

The beeping can be caused a few different things. The first would be a low battery.
Secondly, be sure you are using good quality alkaline batteries. A poor quality battery disperses it's power at a different rate which can cause irregularities.
And lastly, it could be radio interference, move the main unit to another part of your home for 24 hours and the beeping should stop. -

I tried all of those tips and it still beeps. I put new fully charged batteries in as well.

If none of these tips have helped then the unit may have developed a defect. Please contact us directly if you have owned the unit less than one year. 1-877-221-1252 or info@chaney-inst.com

The OTHER THING that could be happening is that it is picking up another sensor in the area that is low on batteries. This model picks up 3 different channels. This is happening to mine right now. Is there a way to make it so it only picks up the ONE I have? It constantly beeps.

My unit just started the same thing. But I discovered that the outside had gotten wet on the inside from all the heavy rains we have been receiving.

Thanks Cindy, Decided to order a whole new thermometer system. Mine was on it's last leg anyway.

Hi Carolyn,
To provide you with the best service we will need the model number of your unit. This can generally be found on the front of your instructions in the top right corner or the back of your main unit. -

We have a model 00754 temperature clock combo and have just purchased a 00380 temperature module. Our 754 picked up the sensor for the 380 on channel 1 and started beeping. We followed the recommendations on this forum to set the 754 and sensor to channel 1 only but after a bit the beeping returns. Neither sensor has the ability to change channels. It beeps every time the main display updates from the sensor. Is there any other suggestion?
Also, if we purchase a replacement for the 754 are we going to experience the same sensor channel issues we have now?-
Hi Dale-
The 00754 is able to connect and display temperatures with 3 compatible outdoor sensor by using the 123 channels. This means the display is always searching for other signals to connect to. The 00380W is not compatible with this unit but the signal that sensor is sending will cause radio interference for the 00754.
If you purchased another unit, the 00380W may still interfere since this unit does not have a ABC switch which forces it to only transmit to it's own display. -
