Is there something prohibiting your programmer from hard coding the HTML "web page refresh" command into the Acu-Link Backyard Weather page, and hard code a 3 second refresh rate, for example?
In other words, right now I have to manually "refresh" my backyard Web page in order to get the same "current data" which my Acu-Rite display has. I could live with a 3 second refresh rate -- that would give me just long enough to read.

There are some third party plug-ins for the various browsers that can automatically refresh your page after a set amount of time. Here’s a 3rd party refresh software for IE that one of our users recommended and other users tried out with good results: http://www.myrefresher.com/index.php?...

Why should people have to load 3rd party products and create more browser problems,
Simple java script addition to the page and it can refresh the page automatically.
Of perhaps make it so that it has a full screen live rapid flash view updated screen that Weather Underground has available.

Anything would be better than having to constantly having to hit refresh.
I think it would be an asset to do either of the above and help drive business towards the 5-1 system. -

Thanks for the feedback - we DO consider all customer responses to make decisions about AcuRite products. The product team has evaluated rapid fire updates and determined that they are too resource hungry for our servers to support directly at this time.

What about meta tagging in the page to refresh, say every 15 seconds?
Still provides an adequate refresh rate and should not hammer the servers since rapid fire would hammer the servers to bad. -

Kara, thanks for your responses. I understand about rapid fire updates, that's why I asked about your HTML programmer -- the auto refresh HTML command takes only moments to type into the host page, then whenever a 5-in-1 user loads their backyard webpage the page itself controls the refresh. If I had to negotiate, I'd be willing to say instead of 3 seconds... how's about every six seconds...? How's about at least on an experimental basis and see how it goes?

FireFox has an addon which you can set the page refresh ... i have mine set to every minute

Just to follow up, this suggestion was added to the product development team's consumer wish list. Keep the suggestions coming!
Thanks,

1Ok heres another ... the 936k background image, combined with the auto align left on the MBW page is too heavy, the information everyone wants is in the boxes, the background image doesn't need to be that heavy and it really should load first and add the image boxes after... a water mark image would be like 26-29k, with any of windows basic colors would do fine, not as flashy, but very fuctional -
